A special stream was hosted during the 2007 AFREA conference in Niamey, Niger which resulted in a special stream statement entitled: “MAKING EVALUATION OUR OWN:
STRENGTHENING THE FOUNDATIONS FOR AFRICA-ROOTED AND AFRICA LED M&E” Summary of a Special Conference Stream and Recommendations to AfrEA. This was adopted at the conference and AFREA has since continued to pursue the objective of Africa rooted and Africa led M&E.
